Frank Carrone

Frank Carrone (1938 - 1975) was an Italian-American Gambino crime family associate. It has been reported that Carrone suffered from various illnesses including narcissistic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (after a disfigurement that left him without an eye), and later in prison, anxiety and insomnia brought on by chronic fatigue syndrome and his fear that he might be murdered by his former associates in the Gambino family. However, sources regarding his diagnoses are scant.
Carrone died in in 1975 in prison of an undiagnosed supraventricular tachycardia reportedly brought on by hypertension, starvation, and malnourishment.
