Susan M. Levine, MD, works with ME/CFS patients at her medical office in New York City, New York, United States.

Dr. Levine is a clinician for the Center for Enervating NeuroImmune Disease at Cornell University, New York and is a member of the Working Group which offers their expertise and resources to the ME/CFS Collaborative Research Center at Stanford University.[1]

Education[edit | edit source]

  • Albert Einstein School of Medicine, graduated in 1981
  • residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, NYC
  • fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYC
  • fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Mt. Sinai Hospital, NYC[2]

Committees[edit | edit source]

IOM Committee on Diagnostic Criteria for ME/CFS[edit | edit source]

Dr Levine was a reviewer for the 2015 report produced by the Institute of Medicine's Committee on Diagnostic Criteria for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.[3]

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee[edit | edit source]

She served on the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee (CFSAC) which advises the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 10 May 2010 to 10 May 2017, her term having been extended twice. From 2014 to 2017 she served as the committee chair.[4][5][6]

ME/CFS Common Data Element (CDE) Project[edit | edit source]

Member of the Sleep Working Group of the Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Common Data Element (CDE) Project sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.[7]
