You have put noise sensitivity in the rare or uncommon category. From what I have read, it's not uncommon to have noise and light sensitivity. I had severe Hyperacusis due to ME, which is now not severe, due to decreased ME, with all symptoms. You also mentioned other hearing issues. As far as I know Hyperacusis (sensitivity to noise) is common. Other websites list noise and light sensitivity as a well known symptom without digging to find it as a main symptom. I'm from the UK.

Thanks for the feedback. There is improved recognition more recently about both light and noise sensitivity, but it is not one of the symptoms used for diagnosis (for most criteria) since it hasn't come up in studies rated as highly as other symptoms. It's not in the UK diagnostic criteria, the current US criteria or the previous one. Hyperacusis has its own page as well as being listed here.

I will add it to the table on this page and look again at how common it is compared to other symptoms. ~Njt (talk) 17:21, May 23, 2020 (EDT)
