Pentadecapeptide BPC 157, a fragment of gastric juice peptide BPC,[1] is an experimental compound used in research for its potential applications in wound healing, collagen repair and angiogenesis.[2]

BPC 157 improved wound healing in rats with muscle crush injury and contusions, and quadricep transection,[3][4] even in the presence of corticosteroids (which impair wound healing).[4] It has also demonstrated efficacy in experimental ulcer models[5] and models of traumatic nerve injury.[6]
